Brave is what you are doing.

Our Approach

Brave Minds Counseling specializes in trauma-informed therapy, which can also be referred to as trauma-informed care. This form of therapy specifically focuses on helping a person cope with the emotional response caused by a traumatic event. Trauma therapy is treatment aimed at reducing, or ideally, eliminating traumatization.

We walk with you as you start your therapy journey. From intake forms to reaching your most challenging goals. We are here with you.

What are trauma-informed goals?

Trauma-informed therapy is an individualized experience, but here are a few examples of some goals you may set with working with Brave Minds Counseling.

  • To successfully accept the reality of the traumatic event that occurred in the past.

  • To shift your focus from the trauma memory in the past to what’s happening in the present.

  • To overcome addictions or other unhealthy behavior patterns caused by traumatic stress.
